System Overview

The GL-115 BFS 3×2 Folding Balcony System is an advanced development of traditional folding balcony façades, offering enhanced control, ease of operation, and efficient space utilization—particularly in high-rise applications.
The system combines a SEMI FRAME fixed lower section with a SLIM FRAME upper folding section, delivering high structural stability with a modern architectural appearance.

Engineering Configuration

The system is manufactured using high-quality aluminum profiles. The lower section operates as a SEMI FRAME fixed system with single glazing and acts as the primary load-bearing and stabilizing element.
The upper section features SLIM FRAME aluminum profiles operating as a double folding system, providing full flexibility in opening and movement.

The façade is configured in a 3×2 split system, consisting of:

• Three fixed lower single-glazed panels
• Three upper double folding units, each composed of two panels

The system operates with a top-hung load configuration, while movement control is achieved through a bottom guide only, equipped with a circular roller integrated into the lower profile, ensuring smooth, stable, and vibration-free operation without any upper guide.

Each pair of panels is connected using three aluminum hinges (top, middle, and bottom) to ensure balanced load distribution and durability.
A top and bottom locking bolt is provided for each folding unit to ensure tight closure, along with central handles positioned between panel pairs (three handles in total) for controlled and convenient operation.

This configuration allows the lower section to provide structural stability, while the upper section offers maximum opening flexibility without compromising insulation or aesthetics.

Accessories

All accessories are manufactured entirely from high-quality aluminum, including folding mechanisms, hinges, handles, and locking components.
Accessories are fully concealed within the profiles, with continuous rubber sealing between glass, profiles, and panels to enhance insulation and prevent air and dust infiltration.

Safety and Insulation

The system provides a high level of child safety through integrated rubber sealing and secure locking. It ensures tight closure, prevents air, dust, and insect infiltration, and delivers smooth, stable, vibration-free operation even in large-height installations.

Optional Folding Mesh System

The system can be equipped with an optional folding aluminum mesh, featuring fine ventilation openings, perimeter brushes, and a central locking system (open / close), allowing natural ventilation while preventing insects and maintaining privacy.
